Struggling to breathe (flared nostrils, breathing forcefully through the mouth, gasping, gagging, or choking sounds)

Unconscious, unresponsive, or collapsing, even if they get back up afterward

Bleeding heavily, showing visible wounds, or suffering from a serious injury (blood in the eyes, unequal pupil size, dislocated joints, broken bones)

Showing signs of poisoning (sudden, severe vomiting or diarrhea, sometimes with blood or foreign material, drooling, twitching, wobbling, sluggishness, or disorientation)

Seizing or convulsing

Showing a hard, swollen, or distended abdomen, especially if it came on suddenly

Struggling to urinate or poop (frequent attempts producing nothing, along with crying out, yowling, groaning, or obsessive licking)

Injured in the eye and struggling to see (bumping into walls or furniture, unable to track movement)

We'll keep you updated every step of the way, from first assessment through treatment.

We use a triage system, which means that the most critical cases are always seen first. We then take care of the less urgent ones based on severity and time of arrival.

Beyond immediate emergency treatment, we coordinate follow-up care with your regular vet so your pet's treatment continues smoothly after they leave. If they need specialized treatment or overnight monitoring, we'll guide you through the process and make sure they're properly transferred to the right facility.

Immediate triage

When you arrive, our team immediately assesses your pet's condition to determine how urgent the situation is.

Stabilization

Critical patients are stabilized right away with IV fluids, oxygen, and pain management as needed.

Diagnosis & Treatment

We run the necessary diagnostics and begin treatment, keeping you updated on your pet's condition throughout.

Follow-up care

When your pet is ready to go home, we give you detailed discharge instructions and coordinate with your regular vet so they continue getting the same quality care.

Important information about emergency veterinary care

Should I call before bringing my pet in for an emergency?

When you can, yes. We accept walk-ins for emergencies, but calling ahead helps us prepare for your arrival and can reduce wait times. If it's life-threatening, just bring your pet in right away.

How do you determine which patients are seen first?

We use a triage system based on how serious your pet's condition is. Life-threatening emergencies are seen immediately, followed by urgent cases, then less critical ones. That way, pets with the most serious conditions always get attention first.

What should I bring for an emergency visit?

Prioritize getting your pet to us safely and calmly. If there's time, bring any medications they're currently taking, their medical records if available, and a list of recent symptoms or changes in behavior.

Do you provide overnight care?

Yes, our hospitalization unit provides 24-hour monitoring, IV therapy, and pain management for pets who need to stay with us. For cases requiring more specialized care, we coordinate with local emergency hospitals and specialty centers to make sure your pet gets what they need.

What if my regular vet is closed?

We're here to provide care when your regular veterinarian isn't available. We can share all electronic records with your primary vet and work with them so your pet gets continuous care for their ongoing health needs.
